Yeah i didn't notice that until now, thanks Morris. As always its a hot topic in the bug forum and I'm sure will be fixed soon.
I'm curious, you use 1.33 with xoops? Do you have them linked login wise or as 2 standalone modules?

Hmm updates since 1.1, there are lots, have a look on http://coppermine.sf.net in the changelog

Well, I did get it up and running, but everything looks so weired because of different theme and layout. It's like a website withing a website.

I dont remember exactly where but in one of the patches listed above I found the solution on how to recover after porting to Xoops.

Wish there was a better port done, otherwise I'll have to look around for another gallery

i think there maybe some misunderstanding regarding this bridge..

the idea of the bridge is just to share login/group permissions, that's all.

it keeps both installations completely seperate but allows single login to both. trying to make it integrate into XOOPS itself as a module is not the intended action, neither will it be. to do that would mean extensive hacking of the whole coppermine gallery essentially turning it into xcgal, something which isn't easy to do which is why xcgal never got updated. so to match your theme means essentially creating a theme for coppermine that looks like your XOOPS theme. that's the only way you can do it.. if u want to display random pics, or latest pics and latest uploads blocks in XOOPS blocks then use a script called cpmfetch available on coppermine.. then make a custom block with an 'include' to include the relevant cpmfetch script to display the image.

Bridge Wizard: path(s) used by your BBS app:-
Forum URL:
Relative path to your BBS's config file:

My mainfile.php is at root directory of http://www.usm.net.my and CPG is installed at http://www.usm.net.my/photogallery.
What should I enter for the above?

I entered as below:
Forum URL: http://www.usm.net.my
Relative path to your BBS's config file: ../

I ended up with this erro message: Parse error: parse error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /home/httpd/vhosts/usm.net.my/httpdocs/photogallery/bridge/xoops.inc.php on line 104

I did change line 28, i.e.: require_once('../xoops/mainfile.php'); to require_once('../mainfile.php');

Please help.

Hi
As you may or maynot know xcgal is a port of coppermine v1.1. I love this module and was eagerly awaiting development. Alas it did not come. I heard a rumour that coppermine 1.4 would bridge to xoops. They were right and i have it running great in XOOPS using all the users etc.

The only problem is i cannot seem to figure out how to add the standard XOOPS theme from my site to it so that i have the menus and other blocks so that the page flows.

If anyone else have been playing or would like to have a play please let me know. I would really love to get this running flawlessly with my XOOPS themes.

If you do have a go there is one bug fix already to get the bridge going as outlined on this page

Checking coppermines website this has now reached 1.4.3. This has been marked stable and alot of bug fixes applied to bridging.

Hi all,

I managed to integrate coppermine into XOOPS with the help of Coppermines 1.43 bridge functionality and wrapping of the most important Coppermine files.

There is one thing that does not work in Bridge mode: the xp_publish upload possibility. (this seems to be a known problem according to the coppermine forum and can be solved by changing some files).

With bridging disabled the XP-Publish functionality is working perferct.

Does anybody already solved the xp_publish problem with bridge enabled?

For the time being I have disabled the bridge functionality since I'm the only registered user.
With the most important files wrapped vistors won't see any difference but it would be nice if also this problem could be solved.

greetings,
Rodebaert
