I am new to the forum, and new to xoops.

I just installed the module Tiny Events and am having some problems. I am not sure if I need to configure something or if I may have installed something wrong.

Anyway, the biggest problem is that instead of the proper field names, like Submit Event, Date, etc., there are names showing like _MI_TE_SMNAME1. I need to figure out how to get the real 'English' words to show up!

Any help would be great. Please let me know if I am an idiot and have maybe installed something in the wrong place.

You are not an idiot ... you are just new to the system.

Ckeck in Admin / System / General settings if your default language is english.

Then check if Tiny Event is copied in folder like this:

Xoopsroot/modules/tinyevent/xoops_version.php

Then check if you have a language map in your tiny event directory ... and a map in there named "english"

It works! My first module, i'm so happy!

Anyway, it turned out that I didn't have the english map in a folder. As soon as I created an 'english' folder and put the map in it everything worked great.
