Well...

The Env (as from phpinfo):

- PHP Version 4.1.2
register_globals, safe_mode On

- MySQL Client API version 3.22.32
(MySQL Version is 4.0.12)

- SERVER_SOFTWARE Apache/1.3.31 (Unix)

Xoops 2.0.13 did a good job - however, it seems that i'm not able to get v2.2 running...

Whatever i tried, the Script terminated while installing the blocks (Section insertData, around line 550 of /install/index.php), delivering a blank page with the tags
<html><body>body>html>
as the whole content. So i took some time to look through the threads here. i tried:

1) Upgrade (didn't work, the blocks vanished. But there was NO blank screen... just saw the headers, and the stories-centerblocks...)

2) Deleted old installation, installing 2.2 from start. Just as said, it terminated while it shoult install the blocks.

3) Re-Uploaded all files in binary mode (as mentioned in one thread, i just wanted to give it a try), with the same results.

So here i'm lost... any suggestions about that?

*sighs*

I had a simmilar thing, upgraded, worked, installed something... (dont what it was, could be a block). And got white pages... All i could do was delete everyting. Must be a bug with a non-compatible module...

PHP 4.3.x is required. 4.1.0 is too old.

Quote:
PHP 4.1.0 and higher (4.1.1 or higher recommended)

Then this - in the docs - should be updated also... ;)

Of course... i'll put my backup in place... 4.3.x is to new (for my provider *g*), so i'll not able to use 2.2 for the next future, i think. Thanks anyway...
