directory is wrong

Hello,

I cannnnnot wait to try your program. I was able to install easily,..no prob...
but
I've really messed up the directory and have tried fixing it a few times to no avail..
heres the scoop:

my servers files goes here:

public_html

so I installed everything to there..so your files are listed as such:

/public_html/html

anyway, I ran the install...public_html/html/install/install_whatever.php right..

and no prob..am able to install

but when i go to my domain...www.blbal.com whatever ok..
it's not there..i can only see my site if i go
http://www.blbal.com/html
how can i fix this

I have moved all the files to public_html/
but now i'm lost..i took everything from html and moved it to public_html

does this make sense to anyone? How might i fix please..

Well, if you've just started you may be best off uninstalling and starting over. Your life will really be easier if you put everythin right on the root of public_html/ . This way it would be something like http://www.yourdomain.com/install/ not http://www.yourdomain.com/html/install/. Then when you go to http://www.yourdomain.com after install everything will work. If you leave it the way it is you'll either have to put a redirection or a page with a redirection in the public_html/ directory.

So to summarize:

Everything below public_html/html/ gets gets put right in to public_html/ no more html/ directory. You must then re-install so that all of the configurations point to the new directory....

oh good grief..that's what I thought..thanks very much..

so to summarize...

your install zip files

are like this:

docs
html

so move every file from there and put them into

public_html

thanks very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or, instead of starting all over, you could download public_html/mainfile.php, edit the lines that point to the directory location, & reupload it.

Or you can try what Pod said. 6 of 1, half dozen of the other. Just remember if you do what Pod said, you'll still need to move everything under public_html/.
