A few years ago I was really good at this. Today I'm struggling to learn it all over again.
I'm trying to install this ipcam module and I uploaded it to the module directory but its not showing up. What am I doing wrong? I uploaded the file into the block directory but no luck in seeing the block either.what am I doing wrong?

Thank you to everyone who was persistant in telling me the path was wrong. I finally got on with ipower and after 15mins they realized it was someone on their "backend" and fixed the problem right away. I knew it wasn't on my end because I had not changed anything. Thanks again!

ok listen does this have anything to do with it, the error is this saying it cannot find but look at the directory:

in /hermes/bosweb/web158/b1581/ipw.username/public_html/index.php on line 43

but from ipower my directory is:
/home/users/web/b1581/ipw.username/public_html

does this mean my php script on ipower is wrong????????????

Yes I've chked the file permissions and they are as above. I logged into ipower/and chked in the file manager there also everything is under public_html, able to click on administration from home page and than this error when going anywhere:
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

Hello and thank you for your reply! I have checked the permission but I am not sure what they should be. The mainfile.php is: 444, user.php is 755, index.php is 644, admin.php is744, all of those files are in /public_html, from there under /public_html/modules/ there are: index.html:770, than /public_html/modules/system/ and there are: admin.php-744, index.html:770, menu.php-770, than /public_html/modules/system/admin/ blocks are 770, and /public_html/modules/system/admin is 770 so it goes on that like with an error when trying to access:

So when I check the logs I get all that other stuff above.

however if I use the patch upgrade to get to 2.20 I think it is, the directions tell me to go and install by going into a certain file I forget, however if I have to do this from the admin panel, of course I wont be able too.

What else can I check or do ? I'm kinda stuck right now, however at least folks who have paid can get to what they want....thank god.

the onlly thing I can do is log into the site as admin..thats it, from there nothing goes to anywhere.
