I have been trying to add a video file to a website i am building into Debaser Module. I can add mp3 files with no problems but when I add a video it says its loaded successfully but its not showing the the video. When I view the properties its not showing that it is linked to anything. Is anyone having this problem as well. I would really appreciate the help if you know how to correct this problem.
Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim

Did you already selected the player?
What kind of video file are you trying to show, avi, mpg, wmv?

Yes I have tried all the players. The problem is that even though it says it has uploaded ..its not. Its nowhere to be found. I thought maybe that it was the file size so I reset the upload size so that it was a little more than needed and it still isnt working?

Any CHMOD issues?
Did you try to chmod 777 the folders?

OK..I got the video to play sound..NOW the problem is that the actual video isnt playing UNLESS you zoom in to full screen? Is there a reason for this? Maybe a setting someplace?

Thanks again,

Jim

I'm not seeing the video, but as you said, I do hear the audio. The problem I see is an "Error downloading Encoder".

As it loads, media player is telling me there was an error downloading a codec.

Evidently, I don't have the specific codec required to view your video format. Which surprises me as I have Windows XP Media Edition and I do alot of work on this OS with video production.

Maybe check and see if those that are able to view the video have an older OS or the new Windows XP. Maybe this could give you idea on whether or not to change the video format.

Well, I know that two of them that CAN view it have windows XP ( same as I do ). And I also know some that cant view it with windows XP. Its really strange.
If you actually download the file you can see it and if you right click on the pop up window and view in full screen I can see it..but not when its in the reg. pop up window. Just really strange to me why it would work in full screen and not the other way?
