I am looking for a manual about how to configure/install apache, php and mySQL for a local installation of xoops. I am aware there is something like that but I can't find it.

Any help?

Well it is not easy to answer such a question. I think you mean how to install a wamp envirment on your windows machine, this site could help you I guess.

I am not thinking about something like XSAS becouse of two reasons: I want to learn more and i have been using IBServer (it is similar to XSAS) and i have found a lot of problems handeling with the image thumbnail at my XOOPS site.

Regarding the other answer i have never heard about wamp but I am starting with it.

I hate to do this, but the very best way to learn about how to setup a server is read the documentation for each application you wish to use. It's a LOT of reading, but you will be infinately better off in doing so.

You are right, but there is nobody describing in a manual such a topic??? i don't want to be an expert in apache, php or MySql I only want to learn more about what I need from al those platforms in order to have a well-configured XOOPS site.
