hi,

I recently upgraded my newbb module from 1 to 2.0.2.
Besides of the problem with the editors (this thread), it was originally working fine.
However, after rebooting my system today, without any modification on the system, the recent topic block of the newbb's showing anything in it.
I tried to check the template in admin-template and found that there were 2 newbb_block.html files for recent topics, one with codes showing correct data and the other with no code in it at all.
It seems that it's the empty newbb_block.html that was chosen to be displayed on my system.
and ..
this seemed to happen to the "most viewed" and the "most active" topic templates as well.
( which means there are 6 newbb_block.html files listed totally )

I tried to do the upgrade in admin-module but that didn't help.
I've also tried to empty the template_c directory.
however, that did no help as well.

what should I do ?
will running the upgrade script again help on this ?

go to system admin -> modules, and click the 'update' icon behind the newbb module. Lets see if that helps

Also, turn on php debug to see if you get any error message.

I tried to do the update again.
However, the problem seems remained ---

1. there're still 2 template files listed for the recent topic block (one with correct code and the other with no code in it at all), and

2. it's still the empty template that's used.

On turning on the PHP debug, there's one error related to newbb.

Is there any way that I can delete the wrong duplicated template ?

I checked the template directory under module/newbb but there's only one file named newbb_block.html. why does the system keep showing 2 template files for the recent topic block in admin-template.

Is it stored in the database ? Any way I can get rid of the wrong one ?

for those who might encounter similar problems.

This is actually a duplicated template/block problem that's already known for quite a while.
And Mithrandir's actually providing a fixing script on duplicated templates.

for all the information, you might find it here.

for that in my case, mine's the block that was duplicated, I can only did a template set clone and delete those duplicated ones in the cloned template set as a temporary solution.
