myReviews .. submit review?

Ok, here's the deal, this is a great module, but I am having a problem. The problem is that there is no "Submit Review" link in my "Main Menu" when I am on the module's pages so in return, nobody can submit a review.

I know the page exists, because I pasted "submit.php" in my browser after the module's url and it pulls up the submit reviews page for the module. The question is, how do I get the link to appear in my site's Main Menu?

I have checked the genersl settings for this module and it does not have an option for enabling/disabling submissions.

... I am lost?


Please help me???

HI

The code regarding that "missing" link you could find on the "xoops_version.php" module?s file.

I don?t have it right now to point the correct place to you.
But try to find something like that:

$modversion['sub'][1]['name'] =

Ok, I found the code, but now what?

This is the current code:

//$modversion['sub'][3]['name'] = _MI_myReviews_SMNAME3;
//$modversion['sub'][3]['url'] = "submit.php";

I noticed that the other menu links for the module that are correctly showing up in the menu don't have the "//" before the $modversion. I am thinking this could be the problem?

What do those "//" mean/do?

the // means that the line is a remark (the command after the // will be considered as a remark).

just drop the // if you want to make that codes to be active.

they're comments.. anything after // is ignored..

which myreviews module is it? as they shouldn't be commented out anyway.. especially if it's the v2.1 rc1 version

I don't know? ... good question
I just downloaded it a few days ago over here though.

Anyways, I removed the "//" and the "submit review" link
is still not showing up in my "Main Menu" ???

update the module by going to admin click system then modules and click the update icon next to the reviews module.

i don't use the myreviews module. (seems that this module is not further developed anymore? why don't you use other article module, such as ams?)

anyway, have you updated the module after you do the changes (removing the //)?

And, just in case, delete only the contentsof your templates_c on the root of your xoops.

Ok, I updated the module, and I found out that it is v2.0
And it is still not showing the submit.php link in my "Main Menu"?
