Error: Tables for XOOPS2 already exist in your database.

" Tables for XOOPS2 already exist in your database."

Has anyone seen this error? I'm not entirely sure what to do to fix this, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What are you trying to do, reinstall XOOPS or reinstall a module.

What the error means is that the tables that are trying to be created are already in the database. At this point the script will end and nothing will be written to the database.

Let me know which of the above your are attempting, it will help me to know what you need to do to fix it.

Use phpMyAdmin to remove the table.

I agree that this would fix the problem, but, if it is from a module just being deleted from the modules directory database links to the module will remain in other places. That is why I asked for more information on what was being done.

I got this error msg when I tried to upgrate my XOOPS 2.0.9.2 to 2.0.10. using the file "Xoops-2.0.9.2-to-2.0.10.zip". I do not want to loose my old database, I do not know what to do! HELP!

I updated the system module, and some problems were fixed. The problem remains tha same, I do not know if the update is now done. At my xoop's administration page sais Powered by XOOPS 2.0.10, the update stops at the " Tables for XOOPS2 already exist in your database.", but everything seems to work fine. Is it safe to upgrate to 2.0.12a ?
