@vr_slider: Have you tried the latest CVS nightly? I found a register_globals error that would prevent you from saving preferences.

@mith,

regarding my last post, yeah i could do better probly.. but in that case i couldn't turn debug on and using recovery.php to do it wouldn't work either as that produced a blank page too, using E_ALL method also produced no results..

i used cvs version and not the nightly file. but now i'm a little confused with the cvs branches..

as there seems to be a xoops2_1_0-branch-new and a Xoops2_1_0-branch-new

which 1 should i be checking out and what tag?

in tortoiseCVS i'm using:

cvsroot: :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xoops

module: xoops2

in revision i've been using the branch/tag: xoops2_1_0-branch-new

with the lowercase x

Jesus... what is that upper-case branch doing there? I sure didn't place it there... and it seems to be a branch from the HEAD branch.

Anyway, it is the xoops2_1_0-branch-new (lower-case), you should use

Yes! I knew you could do better
Just adding those two lines is so much better than just "it doesn't work" and "can't do a thing"

(I didn't mean to criticize - it's just that you have been in my situation, trying to help with inadequate information, that I had expected you to give as much information as you possibly could )
