Im in search for a preferrably free data modelling tool that can create a DB model from reading a DB schema. I need this to do nice ER-diagrams of a MySQL DB. Is there such a tool?

I use DBDesigner 4 and I am pretty satisfied with it.

I downloaded DBDesigner 4 and it looks like a nice tool.

Now I would like to run a ddl script created with phpadmin. After connection to db I tried in query window (takes only sql, no ddl) and with pugin dbimport (I suppose it is only for data), with no success.

So how can I create tables from a "ddl-dump"?

Re: Free database modelling tools?

You can use the reverse engineering tool in DBdesigner, so you can import the tables directly from the MySQL database you are connected to.
