My First Time With Xoops..Help me please..

Hello..
It's the first time that I install XOOPS at my website and I want to know something simple for you but very important for me..

HOW CAN I UPLOAD A XOOPS THEME??
I've downloaded he theme that i want to install but I don't know where to place these files...

Please Help Me..

Upload the entire folder containing your new theme to yoursite/themes/

Then go into System Admin > Preferences and choose the theme that you installed in the 'default theme' field and again in the 'selectable themes' field.

Also, enable "update templates from your theme directory", to automatically update your cache. You will wanna disable this again before you launch your site.

Hi fisherrman,

Not sure if it is the easiest way or not but what I did was after downlaoding the theme I unzipped it into a directory then opened a new windows in explorer and access my ftp account. I went into my xoops/themes folder and just dragged and dropped it across.

Once it is copied across I go into my Aministration Menu go to System Admin > Preferences > General Settings and click the edit...

look for Default theme drop down box and change that to what you just uploaded now look for Selectable themes and again choose the theme you just uploaded. now click Go! at the bottom of the screen and ALL DONE!
