Help !!!! PM's not working in forum module............anybody ???

I have a forum installation and the pm does not work can anyone help me with this ? I am very new to XOOPS and would be greatful as I do not want to lose what few post are there by reinstalling the module. Also the smileys do not work as well not important but thought it might be a clue to what is wrong the url to this forum is

Also if i do have to reinstall this module how to i save the categories and post that have been made?? I tried doing a full backup on another site but i lost all the post which was ok as it is a test site but i need to retain the post just do not know how???

Any help greatly appreciated !!!!!!

Anybody have a problem simialer to this PM's do not work in newbb version 1 ??? Somebody throw me a bone here i havent a clue as to what is wrong or where to look.

i dun get it. what is your problem actually?

newbb1 doesn't have the mouseover on the user and you can pm the user directly. you only have that in newbb2.

go to your phpmyadmin and backup all your newbb database. thats all.

My problem is when you go to my forums and click on a user ther is a PM button listed but when you click on it no windows pops up to enter a private message.
