Hi everybody.
I couldn't find a solution using the search option so I start this new topic:
I'm using quite a while the newbb 2.0.2 and it works just fine. But since a few days I noticed that some older topics, where it's been a while that somebody posted, are disappearing. I looked in my database and there I can see that the topics still exist and should be in the forums but they aren't. I reviewed the configuration of the board but everything seems ok. How can I get my topics back in the air??

On the forum page itself, at the bottom is a menu to hide post after 100 days or something to that effect. Change this setting to "From the Beginning" and no post should be hidden.

You would need to repeat the process for all forums.

Thanks! I clearly overlooked this option.
But is it possible to make this the standard way of view? By changing something in the source code maybe? This would be very helpful...

There are a couple of settings for this in the module setting for newbb/cbb.

In the module settings about 15 lines up from the bottom there is "'Since' default value" the default setting is 100. I do not know what from the beginning would be, but I am assumming 0, as negative numbers stand for minutes and positive numbers stand for days.

Maybe someone else can clarify this setting.

"0" shows nothing: it hides everything.
I put in "1000" and the boards count everything now from the beginning.

OK, that should work for a while, 1000 days lol. But there has to be a variable that corresponds to from the beginning.

Well yeah, it's not a clean solution. There must be a more simple and stable way to reffer to the begin. If somebody knows the answer this topic could really contribute something.

"1000" was designed to be the value for all posts and what you did is the right way for setting the valuee.
However, we will change it to "0".
