Is there any way to move a thread from one forum category to another and keep the original posters info?

In the Topic drop down list there is a Move This Topic function. You can move it to any other forum.

I know about the move topic, but I want to move a thread (posting) from one topic to another.

Is this even possible?

Oh, I get it now.

I don't think that would be easily done. Considering all the cross table linking required to keep the posts in the right thread it would be difficult. Easy enough to copy a post to a news item (with poster info intact) so technically it is possible but I haven't looked at doing it.
