what XOOPS version? phpversion (i presume it's php 4.3 with that error)

you can either ask your host, to enable allow_call_time_pass_reference in php.ini (if they refuse, find another host)

or you could try creating a .htaccess (use notepad) save it as .htaccess (note the . at the beginning) file in your root XOOPS folder. inside the htaccess file put >

php_flag allow_call_time_pass_reference on

using phpMyAdmin v. 2.5.0, MySQL v. 4.0.12, trying to find where to allow call-time pass etc. - I believe I have all host priveleges since I can resell etc. *fingers crossed* :) Thanks for your quick response!

it has to be enabled in php.ini which only the host company can change, unless you have root access to the server (usually u only get that on dedicated servers i think)

the only other way is to use the .htaccess file i posted about previously..

waiting for a response from the admin... tried the .htaccess and it didn't change anything, I just hope they get back to me soon!
