Hi!

I just installed XOOPS and started working on it.. loved it soo far but now (like always) here is first problem..

IF I click on register I get this:

Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area.
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here

Did I do something wrong or forgot to turn something on?

Please guys help me..

Downloaded it today, although it is possible I didnt download latest..

errrr

ok just to be sure here..

u mean 2.0.10 or 2.1.0/2.1.1?

the latter 2.1 is NOT for production sites and if ur new to XOOPS you'd probably be a lot better going with the stable 2.0.10 release and not an alpha version..

Hm..

that explains a lot.. since mods did not work like they should and so on..

Ok, now I will install stable version.. dumb me for not seeing that sooner.. One question though.. will there be any problems when I install .. like database issues or something.. database wont be deleted or something like that?

I am asking because eshop is using same one.. and i dont want to empty the whole thing and work for couple of houndred hours to get shop back ...

shouldn't do no. XOOPS assigns a prefix to all tables it uses so you should clearly be able to identify your XOOPS site in phpmyadmin :)

Hi!

Dont have a phpadmin... so i cannot clear out manually.. but will install do that by it self?

I have a shitty server and they created me a database.. so more than that I have all info for acessing it is not possible..

no XOOPS doesn't delete previous tables..

just make sure you use a different prefix (it's securer to change it from default anyway) you can change the prefix on the same page of the installer where it asks u for the MySQL db details.
