Is it possible for a site admin to setup a default notification setting. eg. I want people who post to a newbb forum to have their 'notify me of new post in this thread' set automatically.

that would soon fill up the inboxes of members or put a strain on the server sending emails if u have many people posting everyday..

i think its actually better as it is now.. but you could edit the notification form and change the value for the tickbox.. off hand i can't rember which it is tho..

or if you mean when someone 1st creates a new topic.

ie on the new topic form.. where u have the options >

if you mean this notification.. you can do this by editing file newbb/include/forumform.inc.php

find around line 215 (in newbb 2)

$notify = 0;

and change to $notify = 1;

same for CBB 1 but at line 218 instead.
