Hi, I just switched to XOOPS and so far I love it, it's very easy and great. The only thing is, prior to this I was using Invision Boards. Is there any possible way to get the members from my Invision Board into the XOOPS member system?

Sorry to bump, but is there any possible way to do this? I don't want members to have to re-register.

I don't mean to be rude by bumping this again, except I still don't know what to do. If I use the Invision Board Forum addon from the Module Repository can it use the same users as my existing one?

Look through the downloads section at bbpixel.com they may be a script there to get you started.

Compare the 2 members tables structure and write a tiny PHP script which can write your IPB users' infos into your XOOPS members table :)

But you have to add a script which do this operation dynamically when a new user registers himself.

there is an ipb module and a script that will transfer your stand alone ipb board to the module one- you can get that information on the link you were given.

Thanks for all the tips. I downloaded the module and followed the instructions, but for some reason when I try to login to enable the module, user.php is blank.

When you receive a blank page, follow the procedures on this Faq Page.

I found out that the problem was within common.php that the Invision Board Module gave, but I'm not quite sure what is causing the problem but atleast I can see user.php now.

Okay, is there any easier way to transfer the members than download that module, I don't want to use IPB anymore. If there is no other way than to make a script, is there anyone that could help me write it as I'm not very good at PHP.
