I know I know! Search the forums and ye shall find the answer.. well, I did! I've got register_globals in php.ini set to ON and it still does not work.
My setup: Win2k, Apache 1.3.26, PHP 4.2.3, MySQL 3.23.52. I run mysqld-nt as the server, then launch apache (which is configured correctly for php and loads it up as well -shows it in console window: Apache/1.3.26 (Win32) PHP/4.2.3 running...)
Anyways, I'm logged in Win2K as Administrator as well.... I set up everything using install.php, but again, as with other ppl, I get a Modules does nto exist message on the space right to the menu blocks... I try to login using the admin account setup with install.php but I cannot, I return to user.php always... I try to "create" an account with the same id as the admin account, and it says user exists already, so it knows about it.. hmm... guys and gals, I'm stuck and would appreciate any help here.. I just need to setup xoop on this lame win2k machine to develop my site before uploading it to a proper host.
Oh, I also checked with mysqlmanager, the database is created correctly and is shown there.
Any help much appreciated.
