I would like to have a welcome header block when user come to my site. I would also like to have that block only appear before logging in. I have seen this done on an XOOPS site but I can't figure out how to do it.

I've tried a custom block but it seems impossible to use them with an anonymous user, and the site info block stays there after logging in.

Thanks in advance
Terry

Try again:
Go to adiministration/system/blocks
and create custom block with this text:

Custom block for anonymous :)

now save it, and set it visible to top page, center-center
now click back to administration/system/groups
click on anonymous group, go to the bottom of the page, select your custom block placed under: Center, and u're in.

than go to administration/system/groups, select registered and uncheck the custom center block if is allready checked - result - xoopsbg.org (block is placed in the top center (Attentoin in English) :)

Thanks, works a treat. I hadn't explored the groups side of it and didn't realise that the groups side of it had so much control over it.
