Hello...
I just discovered XOOPS and wanted to test it on mu web site !!! I have downloaded xoops-2.0.9.2 and opened it on my computer and then have uploaded via a ftp soft all the content of the htm directory... I think I am ok !!!
After this I tryed to connect to my web site to make the online intallation but impossible to open any page or dialogue box always the same answer :

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in .../install/index.php on line 233


can someone help me ?

sounds like something wasn't uploaded right or it got corrupted..

make sure you're ftp software is uploading in binary mode and not ascii

thanks for the answer !!! My ftp soft (flashFxp) was in auto mode i am trying in binary...
