i'm new into CMS specifically xoops, i would like to seek help on the ff:.
1. i want to display NEWS posts in 2-columns, is there a way to do this?
2. Can I change the name of the NEWS module (or any oter module) to another name like ARTICLES when it will be displayed on the Main Menu, is this possible?
3. I want to display a short welcome message on my homepage.

Hello,

Welcome to Xoops.

1) You can do it with the latest version of the news module

2) You can change the module's name in the wbepage where you manage your modules. There is a textbox below the module's image.

3)Use the Edito module. You will find it here in the modules repository and with the search of this site.

thanks, i already change News to Articles. Can I also change the "Submit News" under it to "Submit Article" under it?

Go and see the files in the folder /xoops/modules/news/language/english, you will find what you want.
