hmm, a while ago I had problems with a previous XOOPS site (xoops2) and then I gave up on it, but I have since come back to XOOPS (this is sounding like a BT advert) with the site at www.MacMEND.com.

MY question is, I still have all the sql databases from the old site is it possible to reconnect to them, I have all the log/password/database name info.

If it is possible, how, I have tried uploading XOOPS and all the modules i had before, and re installing, and using the old database to connect to, but it seems it won't let me, anyone know anything along these lines.

1. upload all the files and modules
2. dump the old database back
3. edit mainfile.php so it connects to the new-old db

open up your site, login as admin, click 'update' in system admin -> modules for every module.

yes I did that but it loads a blank page, if i try to go to admin.php it just redirects me back to the default module...which is a blank page

Have i missed out a module or done something wrong?
