I like to have my pages set to take 100% of the width of a persons browser.

I don't want to change that by going to a theme that just display content in the middle of the page and has 2 blank areas, one on each side of the content.

I want to know if there is a way of stopping the pages from been resized when people post code or when people post long web links.

Example this page on xoops.org has resized itself to allow for the extremely long web address, this means that I have to scroll to the right before I can see the end of the page (usually just the right blocks.)

(infact this link may cause the very same problem)

Also in this thread:

People have posted code and it does not effect the page, the code is placed in box's that have scroll bars, I think this is a great idea, but this does not work on my site.

If I post a code box that has code wider than the rest of my forum width or comments width; then the page just resizes to fit it in, which causes the user to need to scroll to the right to see the blocks on the right or read the end of a post.

So how do you guys at xoops.org do that?

Thanks for any help/tips/pointers/links to questions that other people asked that I can't find...

Dave
