Problems with Theme upload

I have transferred the extracted folder containing a theme, using an FTP client. The client indicates that the transfer was successful.

However, the theme does not show up in the preferences section. Nor does it show up in the themes directory I created or the themes directory in the Xoops/theme directory.

What am I doing wrong?

uploaded it to the wrong folder or it didn't upload correctly..
