When looking at my site in Firefox, the front page is displayed correctly (content left justified).

But when looking at it in IE, everything is center justified.

What needs to be changed to have it left justifed for IE?

Sorry, this problem was with the phpkaox theme and I have been changing it around. You'll need to select it.

Thanks.

BTW, I can't change the theme to PHPkaox, no block visible for anonymous visitor.

Using Firefox and IE it looks the same. The default theme looks fine to me...

However, I sympathise, I've had similar troubles with Firefox and IE.

You may need to edit the relevant module/blocks template file and create a
your content here
code block to align the text in IE.

Just one question (as we cannot help with phpkaox yet).. what is your site about? Health? IT & Computers? Medicine? Comedy? Auctions?

Looking around, there is an announcement about what you can do - you can join the forums and qualify for moderating - but what are the forums about?

Very confusing site to me

1) Usually, with each theme, there are three css files in the theme folder : for example, style.css, styleMAC.css and styleNN.css. Style relates to Internet Explorer, styleMAC to a Mac browser, and styleNN to Netscape, Firefox (Mozilla browsers).

To get the same settings to apply in all three, you need to make the appropriate change to all three css files.

2) Your disk drive question on your forum...drill holes is good but data is still recoverable. If it were me, I'd wipe them first using a disk wiping utility, then drill holes in them and then soak them in original (sugar rich) Coka Cola for 24 hours - that really will destroy your data!

Mithrandir –
Thanks for you feedback. The actual owner of the site is a colleague of mine that is still trying to come up with the direction of the site. I’m not sure if it will be about one or all of those topics. My role is just coming up with the layout and getting the thing running. I’m new to XOOPS and only have a little experience in web designing. Since I’m the one doing the work, posting the “help topics” in the forums on this site, I’m referring to the site as “mine”… I is a lot easier that way.

I appreciate the constructive criticism and please keep it coming! I have abandoned the phpkaox theme all together, so I’m not going to worry about fixing that issue.

tedsmith –
you should post that recommendation for destroying the disks under fj40man’s post…
