TELL A FRIEND email

Hi ALL,

HOW DO I....

In the /language/english/mail_template, there is a file called "telfriend.tpl"

Q: How do I link the to a main link on the main menu.

Like on the main menu you have "Home" etc I want to add a link here "Tell a Friend" that will open up a form where you can addd your frinds emails and it will send an invertation message on behalf of that user.

Any ideas?

I use wf-channel for this. Through it I have my site policies, link to us and refer a friend all on the main menu. I also use multimenu BTW.

Thank you, for pointing me to the WF web site but I can not see anything on there to do what I want.

have you got the wf-channel module (as suggested by jdseymour) installed? it got the "tell a friend" feature which should fit your requirement.

to adjust the menu, the easiest way (as again suggested by jdseymour) is to use the multimenu module.

[sorry if once again i misunderstand your requirement]

Sorry to sound a bit thick, in the modules folder should I have a folder called WF-channel?

If so NO it's not there. can you give me the link as to where to go to get it.

I also do NOT have a "multimenu module"

hi,

You can change the name appearing on menu going to:
Administration menu - Modules - (and on module name just change to you want to appear on main menu).

Yes, thank you for that, but I still do NOT have a folder called WF-channel?.

Where do I down load this from to use the featuer inside this to welcome a friend.

the wf-channel can be found here. for multimenu, do a search here at xoops.org, you should find the link.

Thanks for that it's a good module. I have uploaded it to my server and installed it. NICE ONE

Can I change this at all?

What I wanted to do on the "Tell a Friend" email is allow the use to bluk "Cut & Past" a number of emails and not just one.

Any iders?
