How to automatic send a message to the new member~

Hi
i'd like to send every new member a message after a member regested to inform them the site rule or something else.

How to implement this?

Personally do not like such message.
However, it can be done by modifying user.php with some scripts from pmlite.php

It might be better modifying
/language/english/mail_template/register.tpl
to include your site rules. This way, if your potential user did not like your rule , the user would just ignore and not activate the account.

The downside of this is that you would have to clean up unactivated accounts regularly (hope not) depending what kind of rules you put into place.

thanks for your response. i will try.

i don't like such message too, but too many user ignore the rule, post in the wrong forum

so i am looking for a better way to let them have a look at the rule

Q: What program do I open the "register.tpl" or ANY .tpl file in?
