Hi, I was thinking that the
Paintboard script might be a great little XOOPS module to add a bit of fun, etc to your website.
I have installed it on my server to mess about with it and its pretty good, it doesnt seem to complicated as in the the directory layout and amount of files and it doesnt seem to write anything to an sql database rather it writes things to php files which are CHMOD to 777.
I would like to perhaps have a go at converting this into a XOOPS module myself once I learn whats involved, would it be possible to still have information written to the php files rather than to an SQL database?
If any one would like to give this a try who knows what they are doing it would be great. There are some features that could probably be taken out for the XOOPS version for example news posting and the shoutbox.
Well I am going to search this site to see what is involved in converting a script to a XOOPS module hopefully an experianced developer might also want to take up on this too.
Just a thought.
