please help me with my ickle problems!

I have two probably silly problems, i have searched for at least 15 mins looking for answers and ive tried searching with loads of different combinations but it is impossible to find an answer so please help me!

First q.

When i look at my database through Lycos (my host) it says it is full, is there any way I can condense my XOOPS bits and bobs to make more room or do i have to buy another database (what Lycos want me to do!!) I know this probably sounds silly but i'm teaching my self everything and am just knackered! the other silly Q is from a post i added a couple of days ago pleeease help me!

(old post)
"Firstly i am really sorry if this is on here I did look using the search option but there were so many entries that after the first 4 pages i had to admit defeat!

Basically i've just started setting up my site (i'm loving xoops!) though at first I couldn't figure it out.
I'm figuring most stuff out slowly but I cannot find out how to add a page counter! I am hosting with Lycos who offer a statistics section which I would like to use as it's linked in with everything so my brain won't get too confused !!! ( i know i'm lame!) I've got the code for it and i saw in other posts about how to enter html (wrapping?) but I didnt know where i should put the counter if I want it to show up on my homepage! (is that the only place I need to put it or does it have to go on everypage?)

The code they've given me for it is...

Someone please help me or point me in the right direction, sorry if this is a really dumb Q.

Hope u can help

Claire

first Q: The only thing you can do is use the 'optimise database' function of phpMyAdmin or some other database management tool that Lycos provides. Otherwise, I don't know, short of getting rid of content.

If this means that you're looking for a new hosting provider, contact me via e-mail (it's in my profile), and we can probably work something out.

Second Q: just create a custom block (system admin, blocks) type is HTML and put your code in there. Make sure you set it to show on every page you want it to (it will increase the count on every pageview, you might want to put it on your homepage only), and make sure you set it to be shown for all users (in system admin, groups).
