I'm trying to update my newbb but I can’t find what version I have. In the xoops_version.php I see version 2. Although I think I have RC3. Where would I be able to see the exact version? On the same topic why doesn’t the version within the xoops_version.php file have the exact version?

If it isn't in xoops_version.php, you'll probably have to do a download the version you think you have and do a diff on it to track down any physical differences in the code. Xoops_version.php is the only place I know of where the XOOPS version numbers are keep.

If you go to the admin menu, click on the Forum icon, then choose Index, you will see an About link at the top of the page Clicking that will show you the version running. I am not sure if that was implemented in RC3, though, as I am running the latest version. One issue is that the 2.02 update still has 2.01 in the xoops_version file.
