Hello,
a week ago I installed XOOPS and I feel very happy with it.
But I need our users to upload files. I installed some modules (uploader_v1_1, mydl_fileup100, news_fileup114 and maybe some others) and none of them works - it is not possible to upload files.
Only news_fileup114 uploaded some files, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted so I searched next modules and install and uninstall them.
At the end neither news_fileup114 works. It sais

> Upload Denied(1)MIME[application/force-download]ext[xls]AcceptMIME[
gif|jpe?g|png|bmp|video|audio|zip|lzh|pdf|excel|powerpoint|
octet-stream|x-pmd|x-mld|x-mid|x-smd|x-smaf|x-mpeg|
x-shockwave]

I deleted all the XOOPS tables and reinstalled xoops, then I installed only module news and news_fileup114, but still I am not able to upload files.
Maibe the problem are some rights, but the directory uploads is for writing for all.

Can anybody help me or suggest some working module for listing xls and doc documents?

Thanks.

Welcome to the community! I just PM'ed you but I'll reply through here anyway. I suggest utilizing the NewBB module here to facilitate your file sharing problem. Any extension that you wish can be shared as long it is enabled in whatever forum you like.

I do believe that the latest version is 2.0.2 and it can be found HERE.

Thank you very much for your advice.
I played a bit with NewBB 2.0 and I think it is
quite suitable for me. And it really does work.

I use Newsbb2.0 ,but still can't upload files, such as word documents, excel, powerpoint...
It just can upload pictures.
How to solve it?

Go to the Forum Admin page and click to edit a forum. About 14 lines down you will see Quote:
Allowed Extensions:'*' indicates no limititations.
Extensions delimited by '|'
Place your allowed extensions there.

This is done in each forum, so you can set different file types allowed in each forum.

HTH.
