I have searched the site and found a thread relative to this but seems as there was not a solution.

I want to have my front page set much the same as XOOPS home page.
That is with a welcome block or a block that I create then news articles and so forth.

I used to have my news as the start page but ran into trouble when trying to weight other blocks as they all displayed above the news items

Do any of the news modules available allow you you to display say the latest 2 news articles on the front page as full articles without starting with the news modules.
At present I create my own blocks of news and weight them in the order I prefer on my site front page. I also have webring banners and this was my main trouble as they appeared above my news.

How is this acheived on the XOOPS homesite as there appears to be a news article as the second item centre row?
