Before I tie myself in knots, I wondered if any of the seasoned module developers could tell me if this is possible?...

In the module I want to try to build, I want a registered user to be able to enter a list of items and 'save' their list. The page that displays the list would be tied to the user. I would however like the page to include their avatar and display some details pulled from their profile.

Can elements of a user's profile be targetted in this way from a module?
