how to change the default email address in xoops / system

The default email that comes to me ( admin ) is not the same as that of the webmaster i have defined.

It comes as xxx@(myservername).com . I wonder where I could change this so that the emails send by the system sends email from my main webmaster address or any address i like , rather than something@myservername.com ( myservername refers to the hosting company name andnot my website name )

I tried checking preferences in admin and mainfile.php in root but could not get any clue.

Pls help

Did you try Admin Menu --> System Admin --> Preferences --> Mail Setup?

No. In my admin menu. I just dont have mailpreferences. I am using version 2.

My site prefernce menu looks like :

Site Preferences
General Settings [Edit]
User Info Settings [Edit]
Meta Tags and Footer [Edit]
Word Censoring Options [Edit]
Search Options [Edit]

Where can i find that option. ( its not there in any of the preferences tab either. )

Hmmm... That is odd. I have two sites, one is running XOOPS version 2.0.7.3, the other 2.0.9.2. Both of them have all of these things:

Site Preferences

* General Settings [Edit]
* User Info Settings [Edit]
* Meta Tags and Footer [Edit]
* Word Censoring Options [Edit]
* Search Options [Edit]
* Mail Setup [Edit]

Stats
Goal:	$100.00
Due Date:	Nov 30
Gross Amount:	$0.00
Net Balance:	$0.00
Left to go:	$100.00
