Customizing "SIte Off" page

Hi
I will only give access to my site to some friends. So I'd like to "turn off" my site but I'd like to kow how to personalize the first page people sees (the "our site is currently off) Is there a way to do it?

you need to edit the template system_siteclosed by cloning the default template set first (if you havent already done that) and edit the template after.

Alternatively you can edit directly the system_siteclosed.html file located in xoops_root_path/modules/system/templates dir but this will edit the default template set and imho is more clean to work with a clone.

Remember to flush templates_c dir to see the changes of your edits.

What a great tip.

I really like Xoops, sometimes I think it has limitations, but then I find a tip like this, I have never even looked at changing the templates before!

Great tip, that has increased my love for xoops.

Hi and do you know how to change the message when XOOPS does not conect to the database.
I thinks it says something of Troubleshooting and visit XOOPS Wiki.(sorry about my english).
