How does one make a language pack for a module..or should I say, what does one do other than translate the files in the language folder? What settings does one need to make in other files?

Are you talking about a specific module?

Sometimes there are some text in the database. To translate those you would for example have to edit the sql file in the modules sql subfolder.

Depending on the coding there migth be other things but there is no general definition.

I am playing with the aleatoire module because I could not figure what information was supposed to go where. Because it was in french, so I used google to help me make sense of the lang files.

Before I tried this, I tried to find an english version, but couldnt.

Oh and I hope he makes it so that the images directory is publicly writable at install. The package I have does not do this, I had to do it myself. I found no information about doing it.

I was getting the following error when adding an entry/uploading picture:
Resized Image
but fixed it by changing the images directory to publicly writable.
