I using News 1.2.1 and Extcal at the moment.But I usually post events in the news, AND in Extcal to show up in the calendar. Is there no way to have a category in News that shows events in a minical and "Upcoming Events" list?

I'm looking at SmartSections too, nice module!

Any help appreciated! I just want to keep the Calendard module from duplicated whats already in the news section.

In the next version of extcal they have a function to link a news with an event.

i wonder when the next beta of Extcal v2 will be out

I've had to removed the first beta as users just cannot get any info from the calendar. I'll be using PiCal temporarily.

Yes, I can't wait for the next version of extcal to come out the first version seemed very promising. It'd be great if the ability to connect with News was added! It'd also be great if privileged users could add events to it without having to enter the back-end admin section of the site. Keep up the good work.
