Are both time zone settings in the control page set correctly? And also the time zone setting in your user account?

What are the following settings:

1) Control Panel >> System Admin >> Preferences >> General Settings >> Server timezone

2) Control Panel >> System Admin >> Preferences >> General Settings >> Default timezone

3) Home >> Edit Account >> Time Zone

If you place this script on your server, what is its output?

4)
echo 'Local: ' date('r') . "nGMT: " gmdate('r'?>

Where is the actual server? You need to set the time zone setting to where it is physicaly located (or what the server is set to which can be different from physical). The above suggestions will get you the info. XOOPS AFAIK takes what the server says for time (not your local computer) and calculates the time against your profile set time zone.

AFAIS, XOOPS have some troubles with time calculation, when user's TZ and server's TZ have different signs

yea i check those control panel configurations and they are correct... but its still shooting out the wrong time... i think it may be the server time but i dont know what is their time zone over there... crap.. i host with 1t3.com and i have to know where they are located at. i guess i have to restart from 0:00 and work my way down to the list to see what is right. ill get back to ya if i got it resolved.

Are you sure your server is actually where they say it is?

This part of the code works as it should.

khampster, the script I posted above tells you what time zone the server clock is using. The date() function displays the server clock.
