Like I said in the title, I am a former user of PHPNuke. While I liked the portal (or management) ability of the software, I didn't like three things:

1. The Look - Had a standard look with modules down each side and one through the middle. Although the functionality of the site was awesome, I really wanted something grabbing and graphically pleasing. Is there a way to modify the baseline of XOOPS to work in a look like my current website: http://www.baseballtangent.com?(not completely finished, but you get the idea)

I would love to integrate XOOPS, but I don't want to sacrifice the feeling of the site. If I could keep the "header" image and be able to shape the graphics of the modules, that would be a good start. If you look into the "articles" section of the site, you will see how XOOPS could help me the most.

2. Security- If you have ever delt with PHPNuke before, you understand this issue. Hackers would randomly target PHPNuke sites and all your content was gone. Not something I'm willing to chance on a "business."

3. PHPBB Forums - From what I can tell, you seem to integrate several types of forums. I am really only interested in Invision. I currently have Invision running on my site, how hard is it to migrate? I also did not like the smaller forums look, can you expand the forums to cover the whole page?

I'm a very active end user and will do a lot of modification on my own. I just need to know honestly what can be done. Sorry such a long write-up, thank you for your help.

Let me only say that "if you can do it with HTML you can do it with XOOPS"

2. Security
Xoops is quite secure, but there are some security tricks that can make it many more secure

3. PHPBB (invision?) Forums
Look at http://bbpixel.com , here is the start point for invision integration in Xoops. And yes, you can choose display the forum pages without any left-right blocks.

Yep, if you can do it in html, you can do it in Xoops. Being that any theme can be converted to a fully compatable XOOPS theme, any theme that you purchase from my shop, or any shop that offers themes, can be converted. Its very easy, but time consuming. I highly recommend that you take a look at either the shop that I run for gaming themes, or take a look at templatemonster.com. They offer thousands of templates that are waiting to be converted. :)

I've shopped at templatemonster before and have seen those. I like what I have up better. I was thinking more along the lines of XOOPS templates and some of the ones you got. I could pull out the graphics and redesign if the layout is right.

Well, the templates that I have on my site, are the same ones you will find on templatemonster.com. I have an affiliate account with them allowing me to sell them through my site. They would still have to be converted though. But anyway that you go, XOOPS is a very good choice. I've used it for damn near 3 years now, and its filled every expectation that I have had.
