Add this code to your news articles or blocks or forum and make sure smileys are enabled

<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" id="obj1" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" border="0" width="400" height="250">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.yoursite.com/yourfilename.swf">
<param name="quality" value="High">
<embed src="http://www.yoursite.com/yourfilename.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="obj1" width="400" height="250"></object></center>

Just a hint for next time you should use the "search" function of this site and you would of found your answer without even having to start a new thread.

Remember the search button will set you free and is free to use...

The answer is here already thats the code you use... My goodness there is a FAQ section with heaps of articles about flash in XOOPS same as in the forum.

Unless there is more of a problem please elaborate.

Just like kiwiguy says, the answer is posted above. If you want to show flash movies in XOOPS you need to pick a module to do it with. My particular choice is wfsection, but others will work.

Basically in the an article module of your choice, choose to make a new document, and paste the html code provided from your flash programs export into the document field. Make sure that the path to the flash (*.swf) file is correct. Save the document and the flash should show.

HTH.

If you need more information please be specific of your problems.

How to upload flash file(.swf) into xoops?
After upload it, where to view the flash file?

Re: How to put a Flash file in Xoops

I put the swf file in a SWF folder I created in my wfsections image folder. I usually just ftp the file to the folder.

I doesn't really matter what folder you put the swf file in, just as long as the path in the html file is correct.

To view, click on the document link and view in the browser.

As you mentioned, the flash file(.swf) need to put in the module. Then, create a folder and put the flash file(.swf) inside the folder. Likewise, the swf.file need to upload first before publish, rite?
What I mentioned, does it make sense?
