Lastest News on Hompage Block on Xoops.org

I was also trying to add the block of the lasest news on the homepage, using the home url just like on Xoops.org, how would i go about doing that.. I tird messing around with XOOPS news module. i can not figure it out. is there a certin module that will do that show the whole news article with still moving block below and on top of the news.Any suggestions??

i think xoops.org uses a modified version of the spotlight module available in the modules repository.. (i don't know the exact modifications made to it, but 1 of the developers may help you in that regard)

u can set the news module to be at 'home' by going to XOOPS admin then preferences and general settings and changing the start module to 'news' in the selection box..
