Usage of NewBB2 Final's png transparency function

Currently I use the following to get around the .png problems in Internet Explorer:

XImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='<{$xoops_url}>/themes/<{$xoops_theme}>/images/logo.png', sizingMethod='scale')" alt="ScALR Network Solutions" />


But, this causes the .png to disappear in Firefox.

I know that there is a function to render .png alpha layers > 24bit in NewBB2.
Could someone please provide a clear example of how to use this function in a .html file?

I asked this question quite awhile ago and know that one of you has an answer.
I've searched for help on this and found one reference to NewBB2's png transparancy function, but for the life of me couldn't figure out how to implement it.
Please help :)
