i found an interesting thing in the recent comments (war ). someone is leaving XOOPS and all his comments (and forum post?) will be marked as from anonymous.

should it be better to retain his/her user id (but link to the user profile is not functional anymore)?

Privacy regulations say that someone has to be able to have all his/her info removed from the site, so we want that option available at least. But having an option to 'keep the closed user info' available (so the user can choose to leave it there) in future versions is a good idea
