Optimizing NewBB2?

Hi, I install the newbb2 in my XOOPS 2.0.9.2.
Everything is ok.

But some member are saying that the forum is slower then before, when I was using the newbb1.

Is there a way to optimize the newbb2? Anything will be fine. To make him be lighter and faster?

If your users are using IE turn off the png hack and use the gif images.

Thanks, but this will help only people with IE? For the others it will continue to be slow?

I have never had any troubles with newBB2 speedwise, so I can only go by what has been posted about such troubles.

BTW this forum is newBB2 does it seem slow to you?

Like mine, for example the images come after everything is on screen. But I'll wait. Maybe is my webhost that is slow.
I'll wait some more days to see.
