Try the following command-line instead, which redirects all files retrieved from wget to /dev/null
/usr/bin/wget -o /dev/null -q <XOOPS_URL>/modules/xhelp/checkemail.php

sorry for inconvenience and double posting
i put that code in cron job but i refresh ftp and see it still create checkemail.php.xxx files every minut ( beside public_html NOT inside it )

did you clear out the checkemail.php.xxx files from the directory?

yes i delete all checkemail.php.xxx files
it create files every minut:
checkemail.php in first minut
checkemail.php.1 in second minut
and so on

ok after a couple of attempts on my dev server here's what I came up with (thanks to XP-Weather)

/usr/bin/wget -a /dev/null -O /dev/null -q <XOOPS_URL>/modules/xhelp/checkemail.php

i update persian manual also its better to update user guide in dev site
