Hi,
Fist Let me say XOOPS is cool. I am glad that I made this far. I got what I want from XOOPS and its module. GREAT JOB EVERYONE.

my problem.
I am using XC-Gallery when I try to upload pictures but it fails with Server error. I with godaddy hosting service.
Unfortunately I can't give more details than this.

It uploads pictures successfully in albums/userpics/10001/
but it fails later on.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks for giving us such a beautiful software package XOOPS ( I say JUST USE IT )

What size picture are you uploading? Are all paths correct? If you look in the directory, are the normal and thumb images created?

I am uploading 300 KB picture. Size of the picture is 1600 x 1200 .

Thumbnails are not created. Only images are created in the server.

I ftp'ed back to my PC and I saw the picture. It uploaded fine. I believe problem might be with creating thumb nails or might be size of the picture ( just a wild guess )

Thanks for your help.

Check your path to Imagemagick then, it might not be correct. I had similar trouble too. Turned out I'd not included the trailing slash.

My setting looks like this

C:/htdocs/bin/imagemagick/

Of course you can use NetPBM or GD 1 or 2, but I haven't tried using them.

Hello:

I'm running XOOPS 2.0.9.2, and I too am having issues uploading images, either individually or in batches. When I click on the broken image icon, I get the error message:

"Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.GIF89a". Followed by a strings on garbage character.

I tried both Image Magick, and NetPBM. However GD 2.x work fine.

You know, i've not tested mine in 2.0.9.2... yup it still works. What version of imagemagick do you have? I run 6.1.5.

For others information if you are hosting on godaddy .. you can try using GD. It works fine for JPG or PNG files.

I have to change my hosting company from godaddy to www.canaca.com. They installed Imagemagick to fix xcGallery problem.

thanks for all your help.
