You see that at the bottom of administration main page

ie: Powered by XOOPS 2.0.9.2

I have the same question. Is that all we need to do? Is the display of "Powered by XOOPS 2.0.9.2" really a good indicator of a successful upgrade. I have a site that can't afford to be offline so I think this is a very good question.

Ricky,

I'm not quite sure what you mean about the last step about running a system update. How exactly do you do that from the adimcp? Is it like updating a module?

"System Update" = "Update System Module"

So yes, it is like updating a module.

There's a file called login.php in the extras folder -- is this file supposed to be uploaded to your server too as part of the 2.0.9.2 update?

If so, where does it go?

It's only needed if your site is using SSL. For instructions, ya hafta look inside the file itself:
// This script displays a login screen in a popupbox
// when SSL is enabled in the preferences. You should
// use this script only when your server supports SSL.
// Place this file under your SSL directory
Don't feel bad. If you think XOOPS makes some things obscure, try figuring out Xaraya.
